Congratulations to Director Karen Yan of our Institute of Philosophy of Mind and Cognition for receiving the “Mr. Wu Da-you Memorial Award” from the National Science and Technology Council for the year 2023.

The National Science and Technology Council has established the “Mr. Wu Da-you Memorial Award” to foster young researchers, provide encouragement, and support the long-term dedication of the nation’s future academic elites to academic research and continuous improvement of scholarly performance. This award also serves as a tribute to Mr. Wu Da-you’s contributions to the advancement of scientific and technological research. In the year 2023, a total of 45 individuals from across the country received the Mr. Wu Da-you Memorial Award.

Apart from their regular teaching and research responsibilities, Director Karen Yan has taken on various initiatives during their tenure as the head of the Institute of Philosophy of Mind and Cognition. Their contributions to enhancing the academic visibility of the institute and the college are noteworthy.
